Lymphatic drainage
The cleansing system in the human body is very underestimated. It covers the entire human body at the cellular level. A healthy, clean and happy cell is the key to good health and balanced functioning of the body.
The lymphatic system is one of the main parts of the immune system. The inflammatory process in the body is suppressed only by the immune system, no chemicals can cope with this, often even harm. Lymphatic drainage helps to resume the movement of lymph in the intercellular space in the right direction and at the required speed.
Indications for the appointment of lymphatic drainage massage include:
• slow metabolism;
• reduced immunity;
• chronic fatigue;
• excess weight;
• uneven skin;
• physical activity and, conversely, lack of activity;
• problems with the gastrointestinal tract.
The procedure helps to remove fine wrinkles and cellulite, gives a restorative effect. Massage can be superficial (work with capillaries), projection (involves areas with lymph nodes) and deep (therapeutic massage for special indications). During lymphatic drainage massage, pressure and stroking of the skin are performed. The first sessions can be painful and unpleasant, but in the future it will become easier to transfer the procedure. Doctors advise taking a course of massage for 8-10 sessions, the exact duration can be determined depending on the characteristics of the patient and his homework, which the doctor will recommend.
Lymph node massage is used to treat lymphedema, a fluid buildup that causes pain and heaviness in the affected area. It occurs after operations, for example, if the patient had a tumor removed in the left breast, then the effect will appear in the left arm. In addition, lymphedema can be a consequence of heart failure and the presence of blood clots in the body. With lymphatic massage, it is important that it is not limited to the affected area only. All areas must be included for proper drainage.
When conducting lymphatic drainage massage, you must adhere to the following rules:
1) Start the massage no earlier than two hours after eating.
2) Before the session, drink a glass of warm water.
3) Before doing a massage, you need to take a shower, preferably with a scrub.
4) A little warming up in the sauna is also welcome.
5) Light cardio training before the procedure will enhance the result.
6) The directions of movements are smooth, from bottom to top, from the feet to the hips closer to the main lymph nodes, without pinching and strong pressure.
Given the biorhythms, the procedure is best done in the afternoon. Massage after a workout works for weight loss. During physical activity, fluids fill the muscles, blood rushes to body fat, so massage (manual or hardware) and wrapping procedures will work to break down fats, correct the figure and improve the general condition of the body.
After the massage, it is advisable to rest for half an hour, then wash off the remaining oil from the skin, take a contrast shower. It is worth refraining from eating and drinking for two hours. To enhance the effect, you can periodically do wraps using cosmetics. You should give up salty, fried, heavy foods, alcohol and include more high-fiber vegetables in your diet, as well as eat less processed foods and industrial sweets.
